What people are saying about Angkor Supermarket Real feedback from customers who have visited us.
Visit Takoma Langley Crossroads and you'll find long-standing businesses from around the world. Angkor Supermarket is among the oldest. First opened in 1991, this family-run market sells products from throughout Southeast Asia. There's durian, canned lychee, noodles, and even soup bowls. If you need help finding something, the staff are friendly. There are a few parking spots out front.
This small market is humble on the outside and clean, friendly, and well stocked on the inside! TG, the owner along with her husband, was very gracious and helpful. The aisles are a little thin but it makes more room for an incredible assortment of imported food, much of it from Thailand. There are veggies, frozen food, rice, canned food, sauces and fresh meats! We obtained red, purple and brown Thai rice as well as original Red Bull from Thailand! Carbs and Caffeine to go with our steaks we bought elsewhere! TG kindly gifted us with free, delicious soy milk to thank us for visiting from so far away! Thank you for your incredible shop and hospitality! Life is delicious with an amazing local unique imported goods shop like this!
This place is an awesome Asian grocery store with a lot of authentic items in stock. This is not the modern Whole Foods aesthetic; it's an old school Asian grocer. It has narrow, crowded aisles filled with unexpected and interesting foods you don't see many places, plus random loot. Look at that salt! It's so course, it could start cussing, and for less than $2 a bag! And durian flavored "ice bars"? Amazing.
Great authentic selections of Thailand products and produce!! We found everything we were looking for and more! This is a hidden gem in the community. Great customer service and friendly staff.
